Michael Beys is a litigator, executive, and independent director whose career spans complex civil and criminal litigation, corporate governance, and operational leadership in distressed and special-situations environments.

He is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of FTE Networks, Inc., a publicly reporting real estate company engaged in the stabilization, restructuring, and asset recovery of a national single-family rental portfolio following legacy financial and governance challenges. In that capacity, he has overseen the company’s operational, legal, and regulatory resolution, including its asset dispositions and compliance rehabilitation.

As a founding partner of Beys Liston & Mobargha LLP, Michael represents corporations, boards, executives, and investors in complex civil and criminal litigation, enforcement defense, and governance matters, often in connection with special-situations investing, distressed assets, or shareholder disputes. His work bridges litigation and strategy—guiding clients through regulatory scrutiny, restructuring, and value realization.

A former federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Michael has tried and supervised major criminal and civil cases involving fraud, racketeering, securities violations, and public corruption. That prosecutorial grounding informs his rigorous, disciplined approach to both litigation and boardroom oversight.

In addition to leading his firm and company, Michael serves as a board chair and independent director of several public and private companies in the U.S. and Europe. He has chaired audit, governance, and compensation committees, with a focus on fiduciary responsibility, compliance, and the preservation of value in complex or cross-border contexts.

Michael holds a J.D. with honors from Columbia Law School and an A.B. cum laude from Harvard College. He speaks Greek, French, and Spanish, and is active in nonprofit and educational governance.
